Hey everyone, I just wanted to ask a question as I have been pulling my hair out trying to find an answer. I hope that one of you can help.

My girlfriend is comming to see me next month, she lives in Portugal and I live in England. She is flying using EasyJet. In Portugal she doesn't have a passport but she has a ID card. On it is written "Identity Card of National Citizen" (It contains a picture, DOB etc).

My question, can she use this card to check in? I have searched EasyJet's website and I think it says that she can, but I wanted to make sure and ask someone that knows. But I couldn't find a contact email for EasyJet.

Can someone here answer my question? Thanks in advance!

Edit: I just found out about this APD tax.. I'm worried.. What is it? Do I have to pay? I booked it on Tuesday 02 Jan 07 and the flight details are:

Monday 26 March - Lisbon to Luton

Monday 09 April - Luton to Lisbon.

Thanks again.

EU ID card is sufficient. if it is to be it is to be, then you pay a little more, no worries. but normally you are not charged extra when you already purchased your (e)ticket...

Thank you so much, I am pretty sure that just a EU card is okay.. and this new tax.. can't you can pay it when you're at the airport? I have recived no emails from EasyJet about it and I can't find a button to pay it when I log into my EasyJet.

Can anyone else help make me feel a bit better?

if you have already purchased the ticket and there is an extra charge, then you need to pay at the airport. just ask at the easy jet counter. don't worry, they will not forget to charge you believe me (if they do, in your case, because that is not sure);).
