Hi All

I travel for the first time in 3 weeks and not changed any money yet. I have read the threads that many are taking USD where I assume people are changing into the correct currencies when they arrive at the destination. I am going to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. Coming from UK can I bring GBP or do I change about £50 of the above countries currency or just stick to USD??

Really confused! Any help appreciated! Thanks!

Hello Trace

Just bring your British Sterling. British Sterling is a major currency, so u will be able to change it, in Asia easily.
No point in changing it, into dollars. That is just a waste of time and money.
Dont buy any Asian money, in England. U will get a better exchange rate in Asia. There places to change money, at the airports, when u get there.

only change a small amount like 10 or 20 UK pounds at the airport. the exchange rate on airports is in general worse then in downtown.

What is the best way of getting US dollars in SEA? is it better to bring them with you ? I was gonna take my bank card and draw money out through ATMs but i don't want a load of local currency.
