so this has been my first "proper" winter you could say, and i have come to the conclusion that "it sucks". we (wash DC area) got like 4 inches or so of snow and sleet the night before last. it was all cool that next morning as it was all nice and fluffy, but then after it rained later the next night, it just turned it all into a thick layer of ice. i cant even get into my driveway, and i got a 4 x 4. its a solid chunk of ice, even the rocks are frozen together in the only clear area where i was parked the night it all came down. the snow plows suck also, they just pushed it to the sides of the roads and blocked all the cars in and created ice burgs in front of houses. it was 20 degrees f this morning at 4am when i went to work and it was only 27 when i got off. i dont think its going to melt for a while now, we have only gotton above freezing here only a handfull of times in the past three weeks and its only for a few hours at a time.
