So, anyone here does some sports...recreational...competitive...whatever.

I play darts...that's a real sport

Badminton is my favourite. I enjoy canoeing too.

(I recall another earlier thread on darts... didn't you start it as well?)

Dragonboat! Not competitive or anything, but regular practices and plenty of pain.

no that was me, ahila. i also used to play badminton for several years. played in competition but then i had to go to university.
i also played tennis for a while. at the moment i need to start sporting again some time soon (throwing penguins is not everything). during spring and summer i try (yes try, it will be tough) to pick up mountainbiking again.

Viking rowing? Was it the Vikings who initiated this rowing? How is it different to plain rowing?

maybe u should try to put the dragonboat on the water instead of on the sand and the road. i think u will go a lot faster and u will face a lot less pain. i assure u!

Apologies

Is darts such a popular sport in Netherlands or what?

Me, it was the opposite. Upto my university, I was not so keen on badminton but during my uni years in Stockholm, I got hooked and played twice or thrice every week. Never in competitions though, just for my pleasure. Now though, hardly get to play in Colombo as very few people seem to like it.
