Interview with God

I dreamed I had an interview with God

"So you would like to interview with me?" God asked.
"If you have the time" I said

God smiled:
"My time is eternity...................

what questions do you have in mind for me?"
"What surprises you most about mankind?"

God answerd:
"That they get tired with childhood, they rush to grow up, and then long to be children again."
"And they lose their health to make money and then lose their money to restore their health."
"That by thinking anxiously about the future.they forget the present.
such that they live in neither the present nor the future."
"That they live as if they will never die. and die as thought they have never lived."

God`s hands took mine
And we were silent for a while.

And then I asked:
"As a parent
what are some of the life`s lessons you want your children to learn?"

"To learn they can not make anyone love them."
God said
"All they can do is let themselves be loved."
"To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others."
"To learn that is only takes a few secounds to open profound wounds in their heart that we love and it can take many years to health them."
"To learn that a rich person is not the one who has the most
but is one who needs the least."
"To learn that there are people who love them;
but simply do not yet know how to expreas or shoe their feelings."
"To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it differently."
"To learn that it is not enought that they forgive one anothers
but they must also forgive themselves."

"Thank you for your time." I said humbly.

"Is there anything else you`d like your children to know?"
God smiled and said:
"Just know that I`m here always."

Brrring!!!! Briinggg!
God: Hello?
Human: Hey, God!
God: Er.... is this St. Michael...?
Human: Nope - just me!
God: Oh. I have a golf game at 3 with Mike. Can you make this quick?
Human: Sure! I was wondering...
God: Yes?
Human: Well, they're like birds...
God: um-hmm...
Human: But yet they're not.
God: O....K....
Human: I don't get it.
God: Get what?
Human: The whole thing. Why you made them like that.
God: Wha...?
Human: It's just weird.
God: You've lost me.
Human: The penguins! The penguins!
God: Oh, not you too.
Human: And how come they deliver coffee so well? Hello? Hello?

'So, why do you think you'd make a good apostle?'

'Can you give us an example of a time when you've had to cater for many people with only limited resources?'

etc

an interview with god. i would ask him why there are so many wars and so much injustice. i would ask what his purpose for this is.

"free will"?

Interesting post kombizz, some really good points, and all very true.

"That they get tired with childhood, they rush to grow up, and then long to be children again."

"And they lose their health to make money and then lose their money to restore their health."

"That by thinking anxiously about the future.they forget the present.
such that they live in neither the present nor the future."

"That they live as if they will never die. and die as thought they have never lived."

really stuck out for me when I read it.

That is an excellent poem Kombizz.
Did u write it?
I dont mean, to compare myself, with God, or anything, but I often think those things that God says, in your poem.

We as humans could ask ourselves that question.
Why do we keep creating so much war and injustice?
How long will it take us, to learn to live in peace?

Mel,
i think we never will agree on this topic. you are an atheist and i am a believer of god. so there is barely space to get an discussion between us about this;).
