I'll be traveling from Macedonia (May 14th) and then through Albania, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia (by now early June) to Budapest by mid June and on to Krakow. Do I need to book hostels and guesthouses (I normally use hostelworld.com) well well in advance or would there be enough accommodation in these countries during this time (Mid May to Mid June). I'm worried to fix my dates in stone and start booking beds/rooms 2 months in advance.
No problem at all, high season start after your travels and mid may to mid june will be no problem to find any accomodation. If you know where you are going, it might still be advisable to book the specific hostel you want of course, but otherwise don't stick with a certain traveltable.
I think it would be OK, to book them, just a few days, in advance, so u dont have to fix the travel dates, in stone.
They probably wont be booked up, if u just show up. But it is a pain, to show up, and then find them full, and have to cross the city, to get to another.
