Hi ,

I am planning to visit Austrlia in the 3rd week of July 2007 for my HoneyMoon. I have been reading a lot that July is not the best time to Visit Australia but I am sure the weather would be different in different parts.

I want to know if visiting Australia in the 3rd week of July is a good option, if so what are the places you suggest? I am planning to be there for about 7-8 days.

Thank you very much in advance!!

Cheers,
Harish

July is actually one of the better months to be in Australia, imho. It'll be a bit chilly during nights down south in Melbourne (5-10 degrees above zero), but Sydney will already often be very nice, and up in Brisbane and further north you can expect the weather to be just about perfect.
As for where to go... that's a really broad question. What kind of things would you like to do / see?
One thing I will say in advance is that I recommend picking two, or three maximum, places to visit. 7-8 days is nowhere near enough time to get any kind of overview, so it's totally not worth rushing. Better to get a fuller sense of those places you do see.

(Very general I'd say spend 4-5 days in Sydney, including a day trip to the Blue Mountains, and 3 days in Cairns, including daytrips to the Great Barrier Reef and Cape Tribulation - but there's dozens of other places that might be more worthwhile destinations based on your personal preferences.)
