does anyone know if you need your passport with u to buy and interail ticket? is your dob and passport number printed on ur ticket??

You need some kind of ID to buy the tickets coz your name will be written on it but that's about it, as far as I remember...:)

Hi there,

Yes you are supposed to take your passport with you when you buy an interrail pass. The person you buy it off is supposed to check in it that you have been resident in Europe for the last 6 months. And I'm pretty sure that your passport number and dob goes on the pass to stop ppl transferring it to their friends.

Yes you do! I am pretty sure the number is on the ticket for obvious reasons! Enjoy it, inter-railing is absolutely quality!
