All countries are members, of the United Nations, except Burma?

Out of the 191 official countries, there are only two countries that are not part of the UN, and thats if you consider Taiwain a country. The other is Vatican City.

Mel, I personally believe that Myanmar belongs to the UN. Not sure about Vatican city and Taiwan

I suppose it does not matter, if it makes it more complicated.
I am getting used to the fact, that one cant actually get a handle on politics, with all the grey areas etc

Should Vatican City be part of the UN? That's an interesting question, actually. They could certainly do a whole lot of good, but considering its teenie-tiny population, it would be giving a whole lot of voting power to very few people. They could donate that god-awful swan display from the U.S. to help pay their dues, though.

NO, it definitely should NOT be part of the UN. This would mean that the Pope would get involved in politics officially. It wouldn't be like any other country, it would be the pope voting on political issues which could have a big influence on the world.
