About travelling, do not think of driving by yourself, better to take the luxury bus or trains. I agree with ghostdog that Pushkar is a wonderful place. In Rajasthan, you can also visit Mount Abu.

That's great advice, thanks all. We have booked out holiday and will now be staying 20 days! We think 5 will be ok for us to stay in Delhi, one or two in Agra and we will definitely include Jaipur, Pushkar (sounds like exactly the kind of place we'd love!) and Mount Abu.

hi cecily,

I would suggest u to concentrate more on Rajasthan. Just spend a couple of days in delhi, then to agra which needs only a days then enter rajasthan through jaipur.

Apart from adding Pushkar u can also add Jodhpur, Udaipur and Mount Abu. all these r beautiful cities not very far from each other. Rajasthan tourism deptt has good quality luxury buses plying to these destinations.
If u need more info just let me know

hey cecily... if its 15 nights i would suggest u do Delhi, Agra & Rajasthan. there;s a lot to see here in 15 nights.
also it is the rainy season...but not too much rain here wrt to other parts of india.

would suggest landing in Delhi

Delhi & Agra (3 hrs drive fm delhi) a total of 5 days, thats good enough to soak it in well

10 days in Rajsthan

Delhi-Jaipur drive would be 6 hrs

In Rajasthan; Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur

Also u mentioned some wildlife reserve, think around 4 hrs drive from jaipur you have the Ranthambore National Park, a tiger reserve, but i think it would be shut during the rains...plz log into google, find website n check.

had been their in Jan 07, was awesome.

cheers!
