HI everyone.

I'm thinking of applying for a visa but after reading the messages, I'm having second thoughts. :( Read that the High Comm keeps your passport until you application is processed. But what happens if your interview is scheduled to be in a year? Is the passport returned to you once they inform you about the interview?

Hi All,

Wah..i think this topic is the most popular one under Europe Forum...

Glad to see all the msg and i also interested with WHM....

I got 1 Question
Should we bought the one way or 2 way airticket??

coz from my understanding, WHM is 2 yrs visa....

normally the airticket can keep for 1 yr....

will the custom disallow us to entry if we just buy 1 way ticket?

hope that somebody can answer my this question...

Thanks,
Beebee

better buy two way ticket as they will think you want to stay there never come back. and also they worry if you enter their country with no return ticket, if you don't have money to buy return ticket will you still go back to your country? don't take risk because they might refuse you to enter their country.

Hi All.
I am Singaporean female and I am currently on a holiday in the UK. ( My tourist visa expires early next year)

I was advised by an NGO Org. in London that I should go for a WHV if I plan to stay longer in the UK.

I noted on the Website of www.vfs.com.sg that I have to apply the WHV before travelling to the UK.

Do you think I have a problem in getting my WHV approved in Singapore by the BHC? How much money do I need to show the BHC in Singapore and more importantly how long does it take b4 my application gets approved?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Mary

new to all this so excuse me. I've read the previous submissions but cannot for the life of me find out anywhere an accurate estimate of how long it takes from submission to completion.

Can any one tell me how long it will take if an application is submitted in late september to getting the result??

Thanks,
Kevin.

It has been 25 days since I've submitted. Called those people a while ago. The reply I got was...its taking 1 month minimum and 2 months max...
