Hi kody,

yeah this group is real helpful for everyone not really to Malasians only as a whole ... Thanks to the starters . . . But Kody don't u think there should be someone who can ansers the questions which were missed or something like my last posting which were all questions in total & i think the person who answer them all will be real Macho & have good working knowledge of things...

Ok & one more thing I would like to bring in notice to u all that the WHM Visa Booklet given by the Embassy + websites states that u can't work in any Managerial Jobs or any job pertaining to continuation of ur career so what options are left with us ...??? Bartenders, Hostels & these other menial work so what's the point.... When the co.'s won't recruit & even if they recruit that is illegal but r we all running for guys'??????????

Can anyone answer??/

regard,

Hi all,

A quick question about the SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION QUESTIONNAIRE of the Working Holiday form.
It sounds tricky to me. The 1st question, though the UK WHM is entitle for 2 years to us, do I put in 2 years as according to UK WHM.? Coz' if I did, how about the the air return ticket then, it's only open up to 1 yr right? And if I don't, perhaps I put down 1 yr, do they only give out 1 yr permit only?
Besides, if I do put 2 yrs up and with a reason I wanna travel and backpack in UK, do you think the Brit High Comm will see it as a reasonable deal? Hmm... pls advise mates.

====================================
1. How long do you intend to stay in the UK?

2. What type of employment do you intend to pursue in the UK?

3. How much of your intended stay in UK will be spent working?
(Pls give the number of weeks or months or a percentage of your time)

=====================================

Thanks.
Nicholas ;)

guys

bad news for me. "the applicant is requested to come for an interview on 30-10-05". Tht was the update posted by them. I ve just been to their embassy to cancel the process and get back my passport. I dont understand their policy to conduct interviews afet one year. Its very impractical to think that someone will plan their holiday after one year and start working on it from now.....idiots...anyway lost my money and time....ok guys thanks for the support...

cheers...
dippu

Hello Dippu,

It's really bad to hear that, instead I'm really gutted after seeing ur post.
May I know where you apply it frm? Is it in the Malaysia BHC or back in India BHC? And what's the money that you lost? Is it the service charge fee or the UK WHM VISA Fee?
Pls do let us inform.
So what's ur next plan dippu?

:(
Nick

Hi Kody,

I've applied at BHC Kuala Lumpur. Lost the money paid for service fee and the Visa Fee. I am not sure, but I may apply for the same from Asutralia after two months. I do have Australian Residency. I have almost lost the excitement to visit UK. I may reconsider it aftrer going back to Australia and if the desire kicks back in and I am pretty sure that its lot easier and takes very lil time in Aus than here.

Thanks,
dippu

that's true, because as what i know, the majority of the people holding this visa to visit UK is Australian, NZ, Canadian. very less is from Malaysia.

Hi All,
I'm Su and am considering going to UK next year. Thinking of going around April before the summer holidays start. Anybody going around that timing..........would be fun to go with a few others..........I'm from Malaysia by the way.
Cheers

Hey Dippu, feel really bad for you.

Nick,
I don't know whether you receive my message on the supplementary questions but I would answer 2 years for the first question. Type of employment, I don't think you have to tell them you'll work in your own profession. Just tell them retail, or as bartender and such. 50% of time spend working should be fine. Though I only answer the first question on the "old" supplementry questionare (I got the new one-revised in Sept, 2003 from the website). Hope that help.

Hi Sylvyy,

And for Su, fyi IF I got my UK WHM Visa on time I'll be leaving for UK in April as well.

Truely Malaysian,
Nicholas
