Thanks for your helpful post.
No no...I did not get any agent to help me to apply the VISA.
I've been to the WISMA MCA that day only for inquiries and forms. I've downloaded the form via the website, and found out that there're some pages differ frm the original form.
Yes, I'll be doing it all by my self. Well, it'll be a big relief after you mentioned that you only show them MYR10k.
I was told by somebody that it needed atleast MYR20k!!
Well, about the suspicious Customs, I read thru some newspapers mentioning some Malaysian and NZ Entrants got push back and not allowed to enter even with valid and legal travel document. My goodness! Well hope it'll be a smooth entrance for me.
No matter what, will head there once I got my budget done.
Thanks for your advise.
I've read through the term and condition about the WH VISA,
it does not stated that a medical reports needed to be taken.
Is it true or did I miss out something here?
Nope, no medical needs to be taken when you're in Malaysia. Just an x-ray when you arrive at the airport. The customs will do the x-ray for you.
Those who are already in UK,any plans to celebrate Merdeka over here on the 31st August.....let me know my fellow travellers.
Hi im Louis and I am from North Wales UK. 2 be honest I wouldn’t advise London because it is really expensive and like a lot of people are saying there are a few in the same boat as you. Have you thought of Liverpool? It’s a really nice city accommodation is cheep and there are many jobs available yet this will depend on the time of year you will be coming over. London is amazing but very busy and congested, I would recommend visiting the City for a week or so but for any longer the cost of living would soon get you down. Again back to Liverpool, the town is compacted so finding your way around is easy, the people of the town are friendly and reasonable priced. For photos or any more information
go to www.2e2.org and i will do all i can 2 help.
[ Edit: once is enough for the promo link.. ]
I am just wondering if any Malaysians living in London would be interested in writing about life in London. The whole idea is to come up with a magazine guiding South East Asian travellers in London to settle in.Those interested pls e-mail me as this idea is only at beginning stages.
hi there...bumped into this site in an extremely random coincidence, was just browsing the net for travellers information, but found this superb site that's got all my questions answered.
before i start, maybe some background info:
i'm an asian canadian, residing in hk. last yr's summer, i got my workingholiday visa to london, stayed there for 3 mths...but due to family issues, i had to return to canada, and it's been a yr since..and my visa's gonna expire next May..
for my 3 mths there, i got myself an admin job in an office - but it was by total connection, it's the place where my friend used to work - so i suppose networking is the key to finding jobs...
i'm thinking to return in Oct, i've wasted a whole year not using my visa..does anyone knwo if i can extend my stay (ie. expiry date May 2005, extended to May 2006) to compensate for the fact that i havn't been using my visa for a yr?
From what I hear, once you get your visa, you can't extend or postpone it. You can't even re-apply for a further 2 years cos this is a one-time visa offer. But this is all hearsay. Do go check it out and let us all know...
let me know how I can help...
o...o... that's quite harsh...so i've wasted half my visa now...so unless i work out some other alternatives, or else i'll have to leave London spot on the expiry date..
anyway. thanks a lot Brian. that was useful info, will check out officially and inform y'all..
actually, i won't have a temporary place to stay when i get there. any good suggestions where i can stay before i find something?
