Hi oshy_79,

Well said by FlyAway. When I was there in the morning during my submition.
There's a girl ahead of my queue, she was there submitting her documents
as well, and because the place cosider empty (There're only 3 applcants including me and my gf) I overheard that the officer asked her to prepare a letter frm her grandma (who's locating in UK)to confirm of her arrival and stay. Besides asked her to prepare the letter of her own regarding the "2 yrs plan" I think she's applying for UK WHM as well.
So prepared the documents.

Btw, I downloaded all via the web and it works.

Good Luck.

Cheers,
Nick ;)

I just came back from there and i have submitted my application. The lady didnt ask me to submit any letter to prove about my stay upon arrival in UK but she did ask me to write a undertaking letter about my 2 years plan. I wrote it on the spot, free hand! She told me that it is a simple letter. So, i just stated that i shall leave UK after 2 years and i shall follow UK rules and regulation. Then, i said that i am interested to visit others euro countries as well. Emm...i also not sure that a letter like this should be ok or not. Now, what i can do is just wait for their reply!!! One thing i want to say here is the lady there is nice!! Not much to worry...

Hi Spell

I'm a Singaporean and currently in the UK with a 6 months tourist Visa and will be applying for the WH Visa on January. That's the reason to join this forum to get some help with my application form.

I have been reading this post and you said 'the number of documents you need to submit is less than what's required for Malaysians'.

What documents is required of me other than what's stated on the website?

I have about SG5,000 in my bank account (saving from my allowance)and I assumed that should be enough?

thanks

Sally

Hi Sally

How long have you been in the UK ?? How you do rate UK in terms of cost of accommodation and travel ? How's the weather rite now ? I'm planning to come down in mid Jan...shud be freezing i guess !

How is the job situation there ? I understand that work permits are virtually IMPOSSIBLE to get. I've got a WHV...i guess part time is the way to go huh ?

Cheers!

I have just finished reading this whole thread! Thanks for everyone's help.

I've just received an early Christmas present from the BHC. My WHV has been approved (or so the automated email says)!! I'm planning to be in the UK in Feb.

I feel really bad for all of the Malaysians who seem to have to jump through hoops to get a visa. I will share my experience in the application process though I'm not sure I will be of any help.

First off, let me say, it was very easy. I got approved in about 10 working days with no interview. For the questions where they asked where I was staying in the UK and job details I simply put TO BE ADVISED. I figured they would contact me if they need that information. I don't think they will reject you for not providing enough information. The worse that happens is your application will be delayed.

I declared $10K AU as the amount avaliable to me for my trip. I did not send in a bank statement to prove this. I read that the minimum amount to declare should be enough to survive for one month. So try find out how much the monthly income is for the job you are looking for in the UK and declare that amount plus a bit extra.

I think the reason my visa got approved so quickly was because I have an Australian passport and I've previously entered the UK as a tourist.

Word of advise...do not lie on your application. Be as honest as possible. It is better to be rejected in your own country rather then be rejected at immigration in the UK.

I'm glad that so many people got their visa easily.

For the malaysian, I just found out the cheapest air ticket to London is Turkish airlines(RM2300+600 tax for one year ticket) but it's fully book until end of January. Guess I should've make the decision ealier cause I wanted to leave like in the mid-January. Now I either pay more to get there earlier or stay another week here Good luck to you guys out there!!

The travel agent I called is MSL travel Sdn Bhd
