I wonder if this will affect New Zealand and Australia.

Nothing could be further from the truth.
WHM from poor countries are of higher risk and they must had observed a trend. My bet is the latest rule would never be lifted ever again.

Hi Troy,

Actually you need to depart to UK within the 3 months (counting from the date)they issue the visa.

800 pounds is only can let you survive in UK for 1 month+, let's see,
room rental in zone B - 300
food + transportation - 200
-----
500
-----

it's advisable for you to ask the immegration for the validity of the visa before you depart to UK. it will be a waste if you being reject when reach the door of UK.

Good Luck!

PS: Thanks Anada.

Hi
I have applied for WHM visa from India (Delhi)and they called me for interview in August although I have attached each documents (my brother lives in UK and sponsoring my accomadation and expenditure). Can someone suggest me why I have been called for interview, I have shown myself self-employed and in other information written that this visa will provide me an opportunity to learn new culture, make friends and exchange ideas and will give better future prospects back in india.

What is the chance getting success in interview and any tips please!!!!!

hi evryone...

Its a regret to inform that my visa was refunded back last thursday 13.04.2005, when i asked them why mine was refunded, and i have completly send my documents..they said its not that, they gave importance to the 1000 applicants( who didn't get interviewed)Those who r refunded r the people who waited for the interview. I was talking to one of the applicants who was refunded as well, and yes..she also was on intervw list. I'm not losing hope on this.. maybe its not the time for me yet. So all u guys out there dont give up just try a way out..ok..there's a will ..there's a way too..

Cheers!!
Yuve

Hi,

I plan to travel to the UK in June under the WHV. I wonder if I have to arrange a certain kind of money transfer to a British bank to convince the immigration officer on self-support. Or should I bring with me cash/travellers cheque for that matter?

Anybody travelling in June?

Hi, you dont have to do transfer, I would recomend you to bring some cash that would survive you for a month and the rest as a travellers cheque.. 500GBP would probably last you for a month if you dont spend it lavishly..

Or you may just bring along some credit cards instead of travellers cheque

Hi, I knew that WHV has been suspended. Just wondering why some of you still have your WHV visa? Why?
