Thanks in advance if anyone willing to give me a help hand.

Rgrds,

Hi,

Does anyone know whether it is necessary to get a visa if you intend just to find some part-time work over there? As in if you dun intend to stay for 2 yrs...Just get part-time work on off, will pple hire?

dear outdoorer,
it is vital to get a working visa in order to work in the uk. if you have a visitor visa, the stamp on your passport will state that there should be no work be done for the duration of your visitor . then again, you could try getting a student visa, students are allowed to get part time jobs

dear Aless07,
if you want to do it legally, then you should get the WHV. either that or you could come to the UK and apply for jobs and see if the companies here would help you to apply for a working permit. but you have to have a skill that the UK needs, like an engineer or a doctor.

What exactly does the stamp say? I don't know if the UK Border & Immigration Agency have any information of the rejection of your visa application. They probably have but I think it should not affect you if you intend to visit the country on a tourist visa. As for the embedded chip in the passport, I don't think the British High Commission or anybody else, except the Malaysian Immigration, have access to alter any information in it.

Anyway, what was the reason given for the rejection of your application?

the ones i could think of at moment are writing a relative or a friend's reference and a sufficient fund. i put my friends address in uk and also put a hostel's address as my place to stay. it's important that you cite the genuine and sufficient amount of fund you have. i put SGD 8,000 i think a secured RM13,000 and above is ideal the more the better. i got approved.
