I think I will apply, at the Iranian consulate, in Ireland. Apparently it is one of the easier places, to get the visa. Also, I am Irish, so they will be used to processing visas, for people, with Irish passports.

But the quesiton.
Should I wear a head scarf, in the visa application photo?

I never heard of that. But you should better check at the embassy beforehand.

Thanks Wouter. I think i will phone them and ask.

Interesting comment Utrecht.
I was reading in my new Lonely Planet Iran, that foreigners with beards are seen as supporters of the Islamic regime.

Hi Mel

I have just had a look on the fco website and it states:
'Visa applications should be lodged well in advance of your date of travel. Women should wear a headscarf in their visa application photos. '

hope this helps and that you have a fab time - Iran is on my wishlist too!
:)

I suppose u are right Wouter.
I am just confused, because I have never been to Iran. I also felt confused, about India, before I went there.
