oh , when i am not ,...

In Iran, people are not free to talk about whatever they want. There are laws against talking about certain things, in public. There are severe punishments for people who talk about things which are considered anti islam, in Iran. Talking about things like democracy or feminism can be considered by the police there, to be anti islam. Also the media is very restricted, in Iran, about what information it is allowed to publish, so people cant readily get information, about these subjects. Correct me, if u feel I am wrong. There are several Iranian political activists in prison, in Iran, being tortured regularly, for holding peaceful public demonstrations, about their political opinions. In Europe, we are allowed to have peaceful public demonstrations, when we disagree with something the government or somebody else is doing.
Here in Europe we can talk about politics and religion freely, wherever we want, without any danger, from police or government.

I dont think they have a problem, with u. People in Europe often talk this way. We read information, about politics and religion, and then argue with each other, about what is right and wrong.
I think this way of talking can often be considered impolite, to people from other cultures. We dont mean any harm. We just either forget, or dont realize, that people from other cultures dont talk in the abrupt way, that we do. We tend to talk about every religion and every aspect of politics, in the same argumentative way.

If large minded means talking the same way you do, you are right. If large minded means being doctrined, you are right. I guess you must be large minded seeing in this perspective. you know so much....not...you want to know why....ask any imam or ahmedinejad.

If you think I have a problem with muslims, because of that small posts, you must be plain stupid Elnaz. I travelled in several muslim countries, and loved those countries and their people, their believes, their culture and way of living. And lots of people in those countries, probably including you are keen on people from other countries as well.
But the way you talk..you are right, I don't like you for that, you are too much occupied with yourself.

Elnaz reacts like this because she is self probably not broad visioned (no offence but the truth). There is a lot cencored in Iran and the Iranians (especially the women, like Elnaz) are oppressed by the government. Its not fair, Michael, to say that she should ask a bad leader for advice. Actually she can't say anything bad about her country in public. In Cairo in Egypt an Egyptian was caught by the government (under Mubarak) because he gave his opinion about the Islamic leaders. They are really not free in Iran. It is not imaginable. I personally have a lot of respect for Iranians who dare to look what is abroad.

Ok, fair enough....I some way. But would she talk to me if I was a gay man drinking vodka?
By the way, respect for looking what is abroad indeed.....I hope she is not disappointed by that crazy dutch guy (being me), it's not a good (first) impression;)

I think we all should be able to discuss these things, with calling others small minded.
The only way to become more openminded, is to share information, and then form an opinion, based on whatever information, we currently have. These opinions we form, dont have to be set in stone either. We can change and grow, as we learn more.
