I'm planning to depart from Ilha Grande to Angra on the 10am ferry Easter Sunday. My aim is to then travel to the Iguazu Falls immediately if possible (I'm assuming via Sao Paulo is the way to go). Can anyone suggest bus times/companies - will this be possible or do I need to go back up to Rio? I've also heard the Falls at Easter are mobbed, is this true? Unfortunately I am on a tight schedule and can't change so I'm guessing booking in advance will be a must.
Rather handy, I was hoping to this same trip later this year.
I haven't looked into the exact route but I was hoping to go past Curitiba rather than Sao Paulo as it looks a far nicer/safer city.
Out of interest do you have any particular plans for Ilha Grande? It looks like paradise.
Hope you enjoy it there.
I've got a good website on the island so if you want it send me a message.
I think the better way is come back to REio then to take a plane to Foz do Iguaçu....I don,t know if you have aquick transport to Sao Paulo from Angra.....to came back to Rio is about 2h....check voegol.com.br and tam.com.br to buy tickts and see te timetabla.....if you intend to go by bus is about 48h +- from S paulo.....have a nice trip...
I think I can safely say it is not 48 hours by bus to Iguazu from Sau Paulo.
Less than half that.
