Cheap acomodation in Lisbon

Travel Forums Europe Cheap acomodation in Lisbon

akuma has indicated that this thread is about Portugal

I am travelling to Lisbon with some friends for a concert next month, and we would like to stay there for the whole weekend and visit the city.

We are looking for a cheap acomodation there; anything with the essential commodities (meaning bathroom xD) would be ok, cause we are not staying in the hotel much time actually.

Does anybody know any clean hostel or b&b?

Thank you in advance!!

Hi there!
Go to this website: www.pousadasjuventude.pt. There you can find all the hostels information you need, also in spanish!!
A twin room with WC is about 43€ per night. If you prefer a multiple room the price lows to 16€ per night!
Have fun!

Muito obrigado, Vicente!!!
It seems a clean nice place, and still quite cheap.
I had not idea there was such a hostels official net -it's great to know... we may use it any other time ;)

And by the way, does anybody know where can I find online information about transport services (bus, train, metro) in Lisbon?

The HI hostels are cheap and clean but have no personality, if you check out hostelz.com you can find some interesting ones at about the same price I think. HI hostels I find have usually a bad location and just aren't as friendly as others. But it's perfectly doable.

Also, transportation in Lisbon rocks, the metro is quite new and very efficient. Make sure you try out an old fashioned tram while you're there though, just for fun! And don't miss the Barrio Alto clubs and drinking!! Just ask around about that.
