cdnwander has indicated that this thread is about Spain

Hello. We will be in Spain for 6 or 7 days near the beginning of September. Trying to decide whether to spend time between Barcelona and Seville, or Barcelona and San Sebastian. We would like to have a good mix of city and beaches.

From Spain we will be heading to France.

Also - can anyone tell me how warm it is in San Sebastian at the beginning of September?

Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Seville Seville Seville!!!
it is my favorite city in Spain and the greatest place for viewing beautiful examples of moresque architecture: the Alcazar palace is simply stunning!
It is one of those places where you would like to stay forever!

I agree Seville is amazing! the alcazar is a MUST see!!!

But Seville was way too hot for me! i lasted 3 days in searing June heat -

September will be very hot as well.
ALL of Spain is hot in September.

And if u are on ur way to France, Seville is a bit out of ur way - being in Southern Spain.

plan accordingly.

have fun!

Okay, looks like I'm going opposite of you guys! :) I say San Sebastian! It was so nice and beautiful - the beach was wonderful and very relaxing! The town was great, people were very nice and it was a good place party :) Plus you could get some really cheap (price-wise) jewellery and beer there (not necessarily together ;) )

I've never been to Seville, so I guess I'm a bit biased, but it would make sense to go to San Sebastian just because it's right at the border of France and Spain. When I went, our trip went from Paris, to SS to Barcelona and then onward.

i agree with Katie on the location. if u are only in Spain for a week then dont go to Seville - the bus/train ride will take to long - UNLESS you get the High speed train from Madrid to Southern Spain but it is very expensive.

San Sabastian is near the French border - go there on ur way to France - Seville is near Southern Portugal and a bit out of ur way.

AND Seville has no beach ;)
