Anyway my name is Laura, 23 yrs old from Blackpool, England. I am thinking of going travelling later this year..Definatly to Australia!..and maybe a couple more countries eg South Africa,America. I completed my photography degree in June 06. I love taking photo's and i'm really excited about taking photographs in various countries! Cant wait! Seen as i'm thinking of going it alone..Anybody got any advice?..Best places to go?..and maybe how to get a job when i'm out there?..I'm sure i will become very skint, very quickly!! ha..Anyway i'll stop ramblin on...I have the tendency to chat a lot..which i'm sure you've noticed!..

Hello Lauraprice

What about a round the world ticket?
U can use it, to fly around the world, stopping in various places. It is valid for one year, so that would give u several months to work someplace, if u want.
As far as i know, u can apply for a temporary work permit, to work in Australia. They are usually for under 30s. Or maybe under 29s. They change the age sometimes.

Work in Australia:

As a British citizen, you can easily get jobs all over Europe. This means you don't need a work permit if you want to be a photographer at the fahion shows in Paris or Milan. Contact your local Department for Work and Pensions on the legal details for working abroad in Europe.

Hi Laura,

Sounds wicked, the one bit of advice for you from me is as you're going to be taking loads of photos I reckon you should set up a blog so all you friends and family can look at the photos and read what you've been up to. I haven't been travelling in a good few years and I wish I'd been able to do this. It would be so great to look back on. :)

Thinking about working in Australia too..If i could get a photography job..i mean that would be fantastic! Any suggestions? how could i look for jobs in Australia before i go? or best to do so when i get there? Particularly interested in photographing animals..especially monkeys! hey does anyone know of a place where you can actually go and even beable to hold a chimpanzee? may sound Crazy,..but its like people who love to swim with dolphins!!..i have a passion for monkeys..aaw they so cute:) Anyway..any suggestions, advice or general chit chat much appreciated....Enough waffle for you all to read!...
