Hi everybody

Only two industrialized nations have chosen not to ratify the Kyoto Protocol: the United States and Australia. People say that Aussies love nature and so on.
Why then their government doesn't care about?

I don't want to bother anyone with this, but I think it is an important subject.

Thank you.

A lot of the economy and welath of the nation is built on the mining industry. It can't be switched off overnight. Well, it can be if you're happy to lose your job.

Australia has about 20 million people on a surface as big as Europe. It's an example of how environmental friendly an country can be out of these aspects (lots of nature, not so many people).

In a couple of years regular lights/lamps are forbidden, you need the onces who last longer (sorry, don't know the english name). That's a statement!!!
Haven't seen any members of the Protocol making such statements to save energy.
They should focus on countries that signed and haven't done anything. All those old cars in developing countries...for example.
