PERTH day trips, are these any good?

Travel Forums Australia / New Zealand & The Pacific PERTH day trips, are these any good?

Hi all,

What would you say is one of the best 1-2 day trips/tours originating in Perth? Is the 4WD through the pinnacles or the basic surfing lessons in Lancelin+surroundings worth it? Also, how are these things in winter (mid June)? I'm not too keen on ferry rides or wine tours, but I am trying to find a ONE FULL day of adventure fun. Any suggestions?

Well Perth in the winter you would have to check the temperature but I would recommmend going to see the Pinnacles or a day at Rottnest Island. Both worthy day trips.

Hit and miss...
Weather in June can be good. Clear sunny days with temps around 20-25* C is usual...but it may also rain.
Pinnacles and Lancelin are good fun. Sand Dunes at Lancelin are awesome, they even have a monster truck school bus you can ride up the dunes...good fun.
Also the water there is pretty warm as far as ocean temps go, not by any means tropical, but water temp around 19* at that time of year.
Rottnest is also good, but you could do both in 2 days??/

I'm keen to surf and check out the beaches, they drive all the way from Lancelin to the Pinnacles along the beach I think (or at least 1 way), so might be the way to go.

Rottnest you have to take the ferry (30 mins/ cost ~$70 AU).

Can't think of much else to do around Perth on day trips like that

Good luck
