Women, on the other hand, gathered. More berries and roots could be....

Yes, the more roots the better

Sorry. After reading some of the dim-witted, child-like, abrasive responses in this thread I thought a bit of humour was what was needed. Some people (apart from myself) just sound so.....well, just so friggin' dumb.

Isnt interesting how this very thread has ignited the same kind of behavioral tendencies as the ones under discussion :)

Isn't it though... Wherever there is difference of opinion, there is conflict. It also demonstrates how easily people's words and actions can be misconstrued. In reality, the workplace is like one big game of telephone. What starts out as a simple comment will be passed from here to there, each time being embellished or changed as people think they understood what was being said. Even if it's just a comment between two people, things like body language and facial expressions can be very telling or be completely off.

Tway, I dont think anyone who was reading your point properly could accuse you of flirting your way to the top ;)

No, but it makes for good rumor-mongering nonetheless.

Thanks for bringing the thread back on topic Isa. You're absolutely right I think about the "all about me" syndrome. It;s something that I think about a lot. This generation is essentially a selfish one, and that probably means a lot of things for interpersonal relationships in the workplace.

You are welcome. ;) Here, I thought it was just me because I'm old. I have a very hard time understanding where the selfishness stems from, but I honestly blame my own generation for raising a generation of selfish individuals. (Now we're paying a price for it and wondering why.) The only way I see travel helping to reverse this behavior is to have people visit places where others are less fortunate then themselves. Taking a trip to Paris to shop is basically counter-productive.

Sorry Q - brought it back just as you made your comments.

Now - I hope everyone is done commenting about James, regardless of how cute he used to be. Any further jacking will be edited and/or deleted. Thank you in advance.

To go to the original topic. Samsara (you will get samsara, hopefully), maybe you should change your attitude a little. I think many people are bored with their jobs. Maybe they want to live like you, with a lot of travelling. Maybe they are strangled in life without an outlet (like travelling). Maybe you should adjust to that manner and to that pace and avoid confrontation (about how to look further then their own little world). I am only indicating on some people in the society because I think most people are satisfied with their own lives....
