Hello all :)

I already traveled to mid east, and some countries of Europe.
This year I convince my brother to travel for his first time.
He wants to know Norway, and I wanna to know Iceland (the blue lagoon park).

We will arrive in London in April 14 and from London.

Now I will ask advice from you all:

I can arrange a Flight from London to Copenhagen, is possible and cheap to get on Norway? What are the best or cheap options, and from Norway to Iceland which options we have?

I am Brazilian so I am not used to the good public transportation, trains and hitchhike from the good Europe, so the question may appear a little strange.. But I don't know which options I have, and which are good..

I don't want to spoil anything, as i don't know much about what you're asking...but Norway and Iceland aren't the cheapest places in Europe.

There's a "budget" airline called "iceland express", but they don't fly from Norway to Iceland, only from Sweden, Germany, Finland, Denmark and the U.K. I just checked how much it would be for you to fly from london to rejkjavik, and it's 25 euros including taxes for a round trip, leaving on 17th april, going back on the 21st. Anyway, just so you get an idea.

Flights from London to Oslo shouldn't be much of a problem, check Ryanair, they have really cheap flights.

For flights from London to Oslo you can also try www.sas.no or www.norwegian.no
SAS has flight from Oslo to Reykjavik. If you are in Copenhagen I guess the cheapest way to get to Oslo is also with either of these companies. Search for Low-price tickets and you get options from around 35 euros. Another option is DFDS seaways, that is a ferry company who travels between Oslo-Copenhagen.

Amazing tips you give me you two...
Deisler : very thanks...good on the company

stinet :thank you two...do you know how much is by ferry and how much time it takes?

Look at www.dfds.com and choose the DFDS seaways site. There are many different prices, and it depends on when you are going. The prices I can find at the moment are from approx 400 NOK(ca. 49 euros). How long it takes I cant remember exactly, but around 12 hours maby. Loads of activites to do on the boat, I have taken it a couple times and always had a blast!

And what about the weather?
Will I need what type of clothes? There is snow?(I never saw snow..)
Can I buy some good/cheap clothes where?
( I was thinking in getting some russian military winter parkas..)

Hi there. Not trying to pull you away from it but I have to point out that getting a round trip with Iceland Express for 25 euros is i would say impossible. 25 euros is about what they charge in taxes (if not less).
Ive travelled with them several times and the cheapest ive gotten is about 280 euros with taxes. You could get lucky and get a cheap flight in the so called Hot Pot (cheap last minute flights) but i wouldnt count on it. Even if you do get a cheap flight to Iceland, you might have to pay full price for the trip back.

Be prepared for high prices in Iceland. The only thing cheaper here than in most other countries is buying designer clothing. If your looking for regular clothing for the trip Id buy it in Copenhagen or your home country if possible.

Also, I dont remember how much it was but I took the night train from Oslo to Copenhagen once and it was quite comfy...

Ps. this time of year (april - may) is often quite rainy and snow is usually melting away around this time so pack your rain gear.

When I was a little kid I went to Scandinavia with my parents, about 7 or 8 years ago...so don't rely on what i say very much, as it was long ago. but anyway, we took a ferry and crossed from Helsingor (Denmark) to Helsinborg (Sweden). You might want to check this out

Check out some budget airlines like: Sterling, Norwegian, FlyNordic and Blue1. But remember, that all places in Scandinavia are quite expensive.

For Sweden you can just take the train, to Malmö, and from there on to Stockholm, if you want, and take a boat to Türkü or Helsinki. From Helsinki, you can use Blue1 (a sister company of SAS) to fly back to London.
