Im moving to London in about 8 weeks - Im looking at doing a few trips into europe fairly soon. I know that you can pick up flights fairly cheap etc - can anyone suggest the best companies or websites to visit. Im firstly looking at going to Amsterdam.

Check out easyjet - they will fly from either London Standstead, Gatwick or Luton to Amsterdam - they have a lot of destinations around Europe and domestically throughout UK - and they are a low cost carrier - you need to keep an eye out for sales or book a bit in advance to get the best price!

Hi Julianne,

For London - Amsterdam also check out VLM Airlines, they fly from London City Airport, that is easier to reach than Luton, Gatwick and Stansted. As the name says it is the City, near Docklands, and you can reach it by Tube, just like Heathrow (but a lot smaller). Meridiana, also flies Gatwick - Amsterdam (but I am not sure, if that is also in the summer shedule).

For other destinations, there are a lot of options, depending on the destination.

If you fancy going to Italy, travelling on Ryan Air ( from London Stansted is the bets bet. They have the widest range of destinations at the best prices.

You can get to London Stansted by the Terravision Coach services from London Victoria, ( for timetables) or by using the Stansted Express train service (more expensive though) from Liverpool Street train station.

If you need any advice on where to go in Italy, feel free to message me :-)
