Hello lyacorp

I have also been looking for a ticket to Iran.
Tehran seems to be, by far the cheapest place to fly into.
U could try
http://www.billigfluege.de/
to get cheap tickets. Change it to English, by clicking on the US flag.
In case u dont know, it would be wise to get your visa, before buying the tickets. Getting a visa is not a sure thing.

Tehran is the main airport in Iran. If you want to fly to another Iranian airport, most of the times you need to change flights in Tehran. The domestic flights in Iran are very cheap by the way. If you don't have much time to travel you could best use flights to all of your destinations within Iran. Most domestic flights are within 30 US$....

Wouter

What would u say is a good price, for an airline ticket(including tax), from central Europe, to Tehran?
I say ones, for less than 500 Euros return. Is this a good price?

I don't know about tickets because I travelled overland. The line Europe-Tehran is not very competitive. So I think the costs for return ticket would be comparable to a ticket to Delhi or Bangkok:(. Maybe you find tickets between 600 and 800 euro.

Then I found a good one, Wouter.
It is less than 500 Euros return, including tax.
I did not buy it yet, because it would be sensible, to wait, for the visa.

I think most of the prices of airlines are the same. I would recommend IranAir or KLM airlines which have a very good service. I travelled with both and never had any problems with them.

Germany-Iran is 374 EUR with Turkish Airlines, but cheapest with budget flight to Turkey (less than 100 EUR return in off-season) and train across the border. (60 EUR return to Tehran from Istanbul.)

From the US fly into London or Frankfurt and catch an Iran Air flight. from there.

Another Airline from Germany is Mahan Air - they fly from Duesseldorf for 354 low season or 454 EUR high season respectively.

This airline is an Iranian airline (Mahan Air) which has a vast number of flights to Wester Europe.

LOL, never said Mahan is a German airline, just that they fly from Duesseldorf to Tehran! And if you live in the Duesseldorf area or come in on an LTU flight from the US, they are the cheapest airline to use.

Personally I prefer to fly Turkish Airlines though. Better service, newer airplanes, great connections. (And yes, they fly to the USA too. )
