Hello,

I am in Germany for 2 years and am doing a lot of the weekend trips as well. Definetly check out DB. www.bahn.de if you plan on using the train quite a bit you might want to check out the bahn card. I got the cheapest one and if you end up spending over 250 euros a year on tickets then it is worth it to get the card. Its good for 1 year.

In one of the other posts I think it mentioned the Schonnes Wochended Ticket. I live in Bavaria and here they have the Bayern Card which is 18 Euros per day anywhere in Bayern for a single ticket. I think others states have them as well but the prices vary. And if you can find a travel buddy they have group cards and you save even more.

If you are working or a student make sure to look at the holidays and perhaps plan trips that may be further away during those times so you don;t miss anything.

Here's a website for flights you may want to look at http://www.megaflieger.de/

Hello xxvanille

I just got back to Munich, yesterday, after a weekend, in Hamburg.
It was nothing short of great.
I slept on the night train, on Friday night, from Munich, to Hamburg. Then I visited a friend, and hung out for the day, in the city. Saturday night, I went to an all night heavy metal club, at the harbour. In the morning, I came out of the club, and had breakfast at the fishmarket. The fishmarket is a good place for breakfast and right beside the night life. They sell coffee and food, as well as just about everything else, and it starts at 5AM. On Sunday evening I went to a hostel, to get some sleep. Then hung out in cafes, on Monday, before catching the night train, back to Munich.
