Take a bus if you wan't safe money, if money dosn't matter take a taxi ... hey don't go queueing for to long ... just go to the place where the taxis arrive (departure entry) so you get one immediately ;) If you arrive at the old airport don't pay more than 350 Bhat, you get it cheaper ;)

How to get Kao San From Bkk airport?

If you arrive at Bangkok airport after midnight there will be no Airport Express bus. Keep in mind that the airport is out in the sticks and the bus does take around twice as long as a taxi.

I used to take the Airport Bus all the time from the old airport, now even I have switched to the meter taxi to save time late at night. The price of the Airport Express bus is 150 baht. You sign up for the bus near door 8 on the lowest level. There are 4 different routes to different parts of Bangkok.

If you go with a taxi there are sign up desks on the lowest level not far from door 7. You pay a flat 50 baht surcharge for getting a taxi at the airport, you pay any tolls if the taxi takes a toll road and what ever price the meter says. Surcharge only applies to taxis leaving the airport, from in town to airport no surcharge. Figure on a price of 340 to 390 baht for the ride. The taxi sign up employee records the serial number of the taxi and tells the driver where you are going.

There is a transportation center bus station at the airport, you have to take a shuttle bus to that bus station. There are city buses that go close to Khao San Road, you may have to continue the ride with a meter taxi from in town.

Hello Miguel

That depends on what time u arrive.
I think the bus goes until around midnight. Maybe somebody can confirm this.
It is easy, to get the bus. Just go downstairs, at the airport, and then outside. And the staff on the bus will make sure u do not miss your stop, at the Khao San Road. Also, it only costs 150 Bahts, and taxis cost around 450 Bahts.

Hey,

I asked the same question from the cabin crew of my flite and they did a full house meeting for 20 mins and came up with nothing but a lot of smiles... hahah

well, from suvranbhumi airport, get the shuttle bus to bus terminal, (its free), then from there u can ask anyone which bus number to take to go to place nearest to Khao San road, ( be careful abt pronouncing the name... :) ) bus takes around 50bhat and then its like 5 mins walk from the stop...

Cheers and have a safe trip ... :)

its pronounced 'KOW SAN' (KOW,as in cow, like the animal).

I would get a taxi. When you arrive go down to the next level, and you'll see the official taxi rank. These are the most trustworthy drivers. Great cabs with lovely air conditioning and leather seats mmmmm.

The drivers are a bit crazy though, maybe tell them you'll give them a tip if they keep it nice and slow.
