Contrary to popular belief, I can also tell you some cool stuff about Iowa too. (Nobody thinks Iowa has cool stuff.)

Gawd damned it, NOW you tell me. Where the heck were you when i was close to moving to Iowa, and trying to come up with others reasons/interest there, to do so???

Actually, I only recognized it because of the name Big Island.

Iowa....Iowa city? Dubuque?

Iowa City - not far from Iowa City is Coralville Lake. Great place for camping, fishing and boating. In 1993, floods almost completely washed away one particular campground. What remained after the water receded - an exceptionally large swath of Devonian bedrock. About 10 feet of sediment was removed by the flood waters, revealing a fossil hunter's dream come true.

Dubuque - named for Julien Dubuque. He is thought to be the first white settler in Iowa and one of the first to begin mining lead along the Mississippi River. Lead, zinc and gypsum mining brought industrialization to Iowa.

I didn't say it was "world-class" cool, but... And, you did ask, but after you had already made your decision.
