Hello all!!

Having known this same idea from BnA, I assume that no one is reading...But here goes.

My name is Dee. Handle, Piecar....I grew up in Ontario, in Marmora. Went to high school in various parts of Toronto (Parents were going thru a divorce....I went to five high schools in five years) I backpacked across Canada when I was seventeen...Canada and parts of the US when I was eighteen...Lived in Banff for a year...Travelled with a rodeo carnival for four years. Yep, I am the guy who took your hundred dollars when you tried to win your girl that bear....

I accidentally fell backwards into the film business. I work as a Grip, and have for 12 years. This gives me huge amounts of time to travel, as in Vancouver, where I live, is is mostly series, that have three months off for break , and a built in mid season hiatus.

I lived in Cartagena Colombia for a year, and taught English for Berlitz.

I have been to 36 countries. I am sorry to say that I ate a Big Mac in 20 of them, and once got into a four way fist fight in Venice over this fact. (Ten years ago...I am far less violent now)

I am now saving my money to go back to South America, which I love Love LOVE...

G'Day, a mate told me about Travellerspoint so I've um joined. I'm an Aussie, live in Melbs and my name is Sandra. I use a lotta Aussie lingo (slang) aka the Australian vernacular. So you'll probably find strewth, stone the crows, geeze, fair dinkum and other words and phrases peppered throughout my postings. Although we speak the same language, I do not however sound like Crocodile Dundee - he has an "Ocker" accent, whereas I don't. (there is a difference you know?)

I love travelling and seeing different places, alas I have champagne tastes but a beer budget, so I may not get to see all I wanna see you know? But there's always Tattslotto. I love good plonk - shiraz is my fav and a nice liqueur port is beaut anytime. Love Bloody Maries, Baileys, and have promised myself I'm gonna try all the cocktails and mixed drinks possible.

Like watching Footy (up the Bombers) cricket (we beat the Poms and won the Ashes with a whitewash) and a live tennis match.

Have seen a lotta my country and hope to circum-navigate Oz next year by car. (Depends on the price of petrol.) I believe in giving everybody a fair go, I'm a patriot and I love my country - which out here we call God's Own Country. Geeze for someone who talks too much I never realised just how hard it was to write about yourself - oh and yeah, I'm a lousy typist - probably cos I'm a two-fingered typist using eight fingers.

I'm really happy to have joined this place and am looking forward to meeting youse all and hearing and learning a lot.
