mayk has indicated that this thread is about India

Hi all!

I am a student of public health and am about to start an internship at the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences next week until the end of May. Since I was ment to do my internship actually at another city and to come to Bangalore was more or less a last minute decision, I could not organise my accomodation from back home. The institute can not offer me accomodation. So, now I am staysing in a hostel in the mean time and try to find something for the rest of the time as quickly as possible. Would anyone know where I could find accomodation until the end of May - students hostel, hostel, families house or is one of you staying here for a longer periode of time and needs a flat mate?

Thanks already!
All the best,

You should look in the sundaypaper (like the Indian times or the Telegraph). There are a lot of adds with paying guest accomodation. Just take a look at a few. They are cheap and most of the times furnished. I stayed in Kolkata for a few months like this. I had an apartment for about 4.500 rupees (80€) a month in a very good area (probably still too much bit I was very satisfied).

Hi May,

You will find lot of decent accomodations in and around your college, dont rent out a house, instead try paying guest accomodation.Buy a Free Ads(weekly news magazine, exclusively for advertisements of all kinds) or an AD Mag(similar news magazine) and scout around.

im in bangalore and i may be able to help you, message back or call me(9980540327).

Well I would say choosing Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences is a good decision :) , It is one of the best college in Bangalore.

This college is in area called VV Puram which is very much a good area.
You can look for home in VV Puram, Basavangudi, Jayanagar areas which are very much close to your college.

You can also check weekly papers like Admag & Freeads. You are new to Bangalore so I would suggest to take up a Paying guest rather then taking up a hostel / seperate flat.

I am working in IT at Bangalore. I had my cousin who has passed MBBS from the same college. I will try to contact & get back to you soon.

Please check your PM, Sending you details which might be helpful.

have a nice stay in Bangalore. :)

HI there,

i would suggest you Mr. Jaideep Singh who has been leasing flats to foreign students in banglore, i and my 4 other friends had stayed with him an absolutely wonderful person to know. He is in his middle age of 50 years and a very trustful person. during our stay in Banglore we had no problems at all and we will always be thankful for his help and support. he can be contacted +918025539056. i strongly recommend his place to stay.
