This spring I have plans to go to Bali for a month and then on to some other parts of south east asia such and Thailand Laos ect for another two weeks and then return to bali to catch my flight back to Canada. Now my question is will I have any trouble reentering Indonesia when I fly back there from Thailand to catch my flight home? I been to the Indonesian web sites and have seen that there are two month visa's that can be purchused... would I need to buy some of those? Anyway if anyone has any insights on how to deal with this problem I would really appreciate your input.

Thanks Robin

Hi Robin,
Just got back from Bali.
The entry visa on arrival in Bali will cost you 25 USD and it lasts 30 days and says in the visa (this will take up a whole page in your passport) that it cannot be extended.
You may be able to get a 2 month visa, but I expect you will still have to pay another 25 USD on return to Bali for another 30 day visa unless you stay in the Transit area of the airport and don't pass through immigration.

Hi,
I think you will find multiple entry visa is somewhat completed and probably mor expensive. Think best to get 30 day Visa On Arrival in Bali for $25US and stay 29 days and then get another one on your return. If you are planning on staying longer than 29-30 days you will need to apply for a 60 day visa in your home country but it will finish the moment you fly out of Indonesia to Thailand.
