Think I'd be on my way to getting banned! Nah not worth talking about, onwards and upwards, cos I guarantee I'm having a lot more fun without him than he is without me.

I have been bullied into booking a flight to Majorca with my mum this year (long story but I think her feeling was if she went on for long enough I wouldn't escape off to Argentina or somewhere alone for the first time). So there are 10 of us,

Admittedly my brain tends to work differently, but if i read this right you are BOOKED to go to Majorca. You don't actually have to go.

All 10 of you end up at the airport. Just as you are checking in you have that moment of "fake dispair". Oh no!! I left my passport at home. I must go back and retrieve it. The horror. But don't Let this ruin your holiday. You all go on without me. I can easily be on the next flight and i'll meet you there later this evening/tomorrow

At which point you nip out the door and hide for an hour or so until they've gone, then get on the first flight/connection on your way to Buenos Aires.

Problem solved. Or am i missing something?

Oh, they wouldnt go with her.
They would make the entire plane full of passangers wait, on the runway, while she runs home, to get her passport.

Oh come on guys!!!

You making this holiday sound like a living hell.... not having a family to go on holidays with would be a hell, but going with them to Majorca?? I can think of a lot worse...

Sarah, I was there about 7 or 8 years ago on a family holiday, and my family is not the "Majorca holiday" type, trust me! We were there for 2weeks and manage to do something different pretty much everyday!

You definately need a car, there is a lot to explore around the island! And you might even find some deserted beach (there are some, hidden, but there!) and you'll agree with me that the beaches are stunning...

If you manage to stay away from the crowds, you will find that Majorca became the spoilt destination that is today for a reason: is beautiful!

Sometimes we think that some places are better than other just because they are further away or they sound more exotic... I guess we take for granted places that are closer to home...

Enjoy....! (im sure you will, cause you always do when you get rid of a useless boyfriend... wherever you are!!)

I think what Sarah is trying to say is ... Mallorca can be beautiful, but it would be more beautiful without her family.

If it becomes hell, then you can always take the boat to Barcelona. (or a cheap flight by Vueling Airlines)

That does not mean, that people are not entitled to indulge in self pity, about their own miseries. ;)

Ooops did I sound like I was whallowing in self pity, sorry. No I just wanted a few ideas of stuff to do in order to avoid them, I have to be nice and sociable all day at work, holidays aren't really for that.

No No.
I am just exaggerating. Because I truely sympathise. I have a mother like that, too.
Does yours tell u, that u would be a very pretty girl, if only u would put a smile, on your face? Mine used to tell me that. But I had reason, to scowl, I tell u.
