Hey guys!

I've been to the Philippines last December for Christmas and fell totally in love with that country. It was so beautiful and the views (Taal) were breathtaking!

Anyway, another mischevious plan is coming up and I'm planning to go to Cebu this year --- is there anything that I need to know or what is special there besides the beaches?

Just in case you come back to Lake Taal, there is a good restaurant called RSM that has a really great view...plus the place has a garden type setting where you can eat at separate huts. Oh and the food is great also (I almost forgot to mention the food hehe)

Oh and in Cebu...there's pretty good nightlife there now because there is a growing amount of foreign communities there and plus you can try the local food, Cebu is known for it's dried stuff especially seafood (fry, dump it in vinegar and eat with rice). And don't forget to try the dried mangoes! :)

Oh and don't forget there is a fish sanctuary in Cebu where you get to feed the fish have a great time snorkeling, though there is a small fee to get in. (At some times the fee is already included in the boat you're hiring and when it's not If I remember correctly it's less than a dollar US)

I'm really glad you liked my country.

I've only been to Cebu once and that was when I was pretty young so I may not have the best suggestions but I do know there are some good places to go at night. There are a ton of foreign communities in the Philippines because of the fact that it is extremely cheap to buy land (do anything in general) there. My mom is actually intending on purchasing land and building a vacation home in Cebu. From what she told me there are a lot of Australians, Swedes and Brits there.

Hello redhaze,

Salamat po for replying my message in this forum. I have been waiting for someone to answer them though I have been reading a few sites about Cebu itself ... Hehe.

I was just wondering, if I were to fly with Cebu Pacific Air from Manila; how long would it take me? An hour or less than that?

(:

Thank you for the recommendations.

I loved Lake Taal and of course the Taal Volcano. When I was in the boat ride, I could almost see the clear navy blue skies, laden with the brightest stars that I have ever seen!

NantesFC,

Yeah, I know but I am still a student so I cannot be purchasing land even though I'd love to do so because I wanna have a place there whenever I go back ... Hehe.

;P

Haha yeah, I just realized after reading my initial response that I went off topic talking nonsense about buying land...
