I just wanted to say thanks!
Just came back from Germany and Switzerland and used
travellerspoint's system to book hotels for the first time.
Everything went great and the hotels were really nice.

I also used travellerspoint for booking - I used it to book my Camping Trip in Yosemite and I have to say it was just perfect. Excellent link on this site, and the camping trip is fab (well I suspect it is if you are lucky with weather and fellow campers as i was!!)

It's always nice to hear people happy when they book online.

[ Edit: sorry, no website promotion in the forum please ]

Hi hi. Got a question.

If I want to book via Travellerspoint, must I use a credit card? I don't have one and I was wondering if I could pay cash when I get there or something.

Please help. :)

Thanks in advance.

Hi summer910,

That depends slightly on the product you are booking, but yes, for accommodation bookings, you will have to pay at least a deposit in advance online. This can be done by credit or selected debet cards depending on the particular accommodation you are trying to book. Unfortunately, there's no real other way to do this online. It doesn't have to be your card by way...

Hi Sam. Thanks for your reply. :)

I'm trying to book accommodations for the New International Youth Hostel in Antwerp. I was hoping to get by without using a credit card, but... oh well. I do have a debit card, but probably not the sort that can be used?

Do you think they will accept bookings via Travellerspoint if I email them in advance and tell them I will be booking via the site? Long shot, but I guess I'm short of options.

Sorry, I meant emailing in advance to tell them I can't use a credit card but that I will still book via the site.

P.S: Is there some sort of "Edit Post" function so that I can edit my own post after posting?

Hi summer910,

Well, there is not a real way to email them in advance via Travellerspoint, but if you do want to contact them in advance that is of course fine.

Your debet card might work, it depends on the make and what that particular booking agent accepts. You can check this pretty easily via the final booking page.

Sorry, no edit post function just yet....
