i want to go to Egypt in October? What will the weather be like, i mean will i be able to bare the strong heat during the days
Also do you know airlines other than BA that flight from London to Cairo.
i found a really good tour on budget expeditions for £200 (10 days)
Day 1 to 7
Egypt, Cairo - included visit to the jaw dropping Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The Egyptian Museum is also well worth a visit, packed with hundreds of treasures. The bazaars are full of hustle and bustle or why not have a mint tea at one of the many cafes? Overnight train to Aswan - a fascinating Nubian city, we make a side trip to the UNESCO rescued temple of Abu Simbel - awesome! Felucca- we board traditional feluccas for a three day cruise on the Nile. We stop en route at Kom Ombo, all meals are provided while on board.
Day 8 to 11
Luxor - we disembark from the feluccas at Edfu and transfer to Luxor, this town is surreal, there are Egyptian temples and monuments everywhere. We visit the Karnak Temple and take a donkey to the Valley of the Kings - plenty to keep you busy! Cairo - we take the overnight train back to Cairo and a further free day to rediscover the city, maybe take a camel ride! Tour ends after breakfast on Day 11.
i think i have covered all the main sights with this.
Cairo is around 30 max, 20 min temperature,
Luxor between 34 and 38 max, around 20 min temperature,
Aswan between 34 and 40 max, 21-25 min temperature.
You probably won't need a sweater
I was there at the beginning of November, one year.
It was not too hot. I was even able to wear a long coat. I was never there, in October, so dont know if it is much warmer, than November.

Sabah el kheir!
I am working in Cairo and in my opinion Egypt in October should be good as the temperatures are pleasant. It may not the best time for tan and such but walking around in dusty Egypt in 40+ is not much fun either. Aswan during summer should be avoided :-).. Sept. Oct. and March April are the best months here in my opinion.
I was in Cairo at the end of September 2006 and it was pretty darn hot during the day.. The highs were between 30 and 35 C.. but since I'm a sucker for hot weather, I wasn't complaining! We also toured in an air-conditioned vehicle, so that made things much more bearable..
October is still very hot, November to February are better for travel. December is the regarded as the best month. I was in Egypt in Dec 2005 and in Aswan the temperature still rose above 30 deg. C.
I went to Aswan in August. The temperature hit 50 degrees C. It was really nasty.
December is the best. Trust me on this!!! I was there in December 2005 and the weather was amazing.
Going to Egypt in the first week of june... it will be hot but i'm loving it.
I'm going to cairo for 5 days in December, 2007. It's good to know that Dec is the best time to go lol.
