Is there an easy way to check threads I started in each forum?
I was looking for something I started several weeks ago in the Asia forum, but that comes down on checking all pages.
I mean, checking on my own name would be easier.
Thanks, Michael

I agree that this would be a very useful functionality; I occasionally subscribe to threads I started you to keep track of them, but that's not working ver well.

Well, that's two votes...probably we will see it back in reality here on TP;)

Do you remember what your title was or even what the thread entailed? If so, do an advance search from the main Asia page and put Utrecht in the "Specific User" field. If you do remember the title (or a portion of it), all the better - it will be at the top of the findings.

No need to check - your name is Michael (aka Utrecht from Utrecht).

You'll need to enter something into the main search bar too, but you probably know at least a little what the thread was about.

For example, here are all the threads you participated in in the last year within the Asia forum that included the word 'search'; as you can see, this is pretty robust and really makes creating something else mean doubling up on work that's already been done :)

Sorry Sam - I wasn't clear... You said exactly what I meant to say - enter the title or keywords from the thread as the subject.

Isa leaves to load up on more coffee...

That leaves 2 threads, and the one I meant is not among those 2....there have been much more threads I participated in of course. But I found it on the 6th page or so, and I've send the link to my emailadress, so I won't have to search anymore.

Thanks Isa, for checking my name...LOL

Naturally, but that is why I specifically wrote in my last post that that gives you the search results for all threads you have participated in that include the word SEARCH. If it's a different word, it will give you different results.....

LOL, this is what I get when I read to fast.
NOW I get it

Maybe I'm reading too fast, too, but I don't get how Sam's reply answers Michael's original question.

Since the position of a post in a thread is tagged anyway, allowing to query on first posts by a particular member in across all forums (in a specific time span) should be easy to implement. It would make a useful tool, and I don't see how it doubles extant functionalities. Or am I missing something here?
