a simple question with not-so-simple answer ... what makes YOU leave your place, ur family, ur frdz, even ur job????
I met quite a lot of ppl when i was travelling and everyone had a different reason.... most of the them were not even sure what exactly the reason is ... still they were travelling...
so WHY???? WHY.....WHY.....WHY.....WHY.....WHY.....
The only way for me to discover who I really am is to be exposed to as much as possible, so travel is essential to me for that reason.
Because I have a passion for travel. To meet new people, new cultures and new ways of life. It's amazing how seeing a different country can open up doors to the way you think. I'm so glad that I've had a chance to see so much!
there's a nostalgic feeling i get when i'm in a place where there's no missed calls, dialed calls, recieved calls or text messages to be answered. i don't have to return anyone's phone calls. also, to be in a place where you know no one and no one knows you. it's intoxicating the feeling of absolute freedom! of course, the people i'd meet on the road...quality!

To see new places and new cultures. Its a sort of drug to me. If I get home I have enough energy for another year,
I only leave family, friends etc temporarily.
And I travel, because the variety it provides is stimulating. Adds spice to life.
Whilst I know I love travelling because I get a thrill out of seeing the new places/cultures/people, if I search my soul the real reason comes down to what Eric19382 said:

I think you only truely find out who you are and what you are capable of, by challenging yourself. And let's face it, what better way to challenge yourself than to take 1 back pack, add a change of (almost) clean clothes, get on a dodgy form of transport and wake up in a strange and foreign land where you never quite know what'll be around the next corner
