Top of the Morning to ye!
Happy St Patricks Day, have fun everyone
I'm celebrating St Pats by being drunk already when I wake up.
Yea im really surprised at how such a global day St Paddys really is now!
Im writing from outside Adelaide, SA and just been to a local country show today and wow St Paddy was well in it there! (Looks around for the little green fella.)
It's Paddy's day, and there are 3 consecutive 6 nations games on, including us wiping the floor with the English. Thats even before the footy and cricket WC and Ice hockey and bandy finals.
And how am i celebrating?
Sitting in the office all day working, and going home to nothing even vaguely resembling Guinness [you can get it in a couple of places here, but recently it's been terrible]. Having said that, i do have a few bottles of Jamesons and Paddys at home which i may need to indulge in...
if there is alcohol involved, I am in...
I think "Patricks day" is something like queensday in the Netherlands ("then we celebrate the birthday of Queen Beatrix"). But in fact nobody thinks about this old decadent bitch, rather its filling up yourself with alcohol until you have to scrawl home, shouting "I want republic, down with Bea"......
Cheers (can I have a refill?)
St Pats is to Guinness what Easter is to Chocolate when Jesus died on the cross and was reborn apparently to fund Cadburys.
Happy St. Paddy's day! Montreal has the longest-running St. Pat's parade in North America (since 1824, according to their site) - and we're in the middle of a snowstorm. So it'll be interesting! Green poking through ll the white will be lovely, though...

since 124, according to their site
01.24 this morning??
And if you mean year 124, thats damned impressive, being about 300years before he was even born, and probably even before there were even permanent settlements on the site of Montreal...
