I am a Canadian professional pilot from Montreal. My flying and motorcycle adventures have taken me all over the world. My most recent trip was to China where I worked as a flight instructor for China's first private flight academy, Beijing PanAm Academy. It was a very interesting and crazy trip. Our mission was to make airline pilots out of Chinese students. China has a serious shortage of pilots. Foreign instructors from around the world have at their disposal over 50 state of the art glass cockpit equipped single and twin engine Diamond aircraft. It is a state of the art brand new fleet. And over 400-500 students. The amazing thing is most instructors and students rarely or do not fly due to government restrictions, company issues and a crazy license conversion process which is invalid and simply nuts. I was there to fly but spent most of my time studying, eating, sleeping, drinking, partying and traveling. So I was able to take a lot of pictures and videos from inner China. Places where foreigners do not go. This is the real China. It is very interesting, dirty and crazy. I loved it over there. We were well paid and lived like Kings. I got to visit Beijing, the Forbidden City and the Great Wall at Badaling. I would suggest to anyone to visit this very interesting country. And to get out of the beaten path. My personal site features thousands of pictures from around the world and hundreds from China, as well as videos. I invite anyone who wants to see stuff where most travelers don't go to to visit the site at worldtrip.ca How best to summarize China? Everything is a happy lucky surprise. It is one crazy country.
