Hey! Does anyone have any tips or suggestions about the Romantic Road? Someone told me it is a good idea to know it but the trouble is,... I know nothing about it.
Any suggestion or information is welcome.

My opinon? Major tourist trap.

It is nice enough, but the name is misleading. "Romantic" refers to the cities the road links, as they played a significant role in the German "Romantic Age". The road itself is just a normal road, nothing special or romantic about it.

The German bus company Deutsche Touring has a special travel pass for the region. The pass and the name are the major reasons the Romantic Road is a tourist destination.

Maia is looking for the "romance" rather than the Romantic. :-)

I recall the route in association with cycling (a bike is the best way to see most of Germany); I think it is possibly mentioned in the Germany by Bike (or is is Europe by Bike)?

A quick Google search turns up an extensive first-hand report:

as t_maia said, the road is just a normal one. in fact it's not so much the road, but the close proximity of fairytale buildings (castles built by Bavarian kings Ludwig and Maximilian), historic cities and plush interiors of historic monuments within these cities.
speaking of bikes, touring them all by motorbike was recommended me highly.
