I have a month to kill at the start of my trip before I head to Vietnam / Cambodia / Laos in October... I would go earlier but am avoiding the monsoons. From there I will head to OZ and NZ and then on to South America.
My question is... where would you go in September on the way to SE Asia?
I see China or Africa as the obvious options but neither are grabbing me at the moment like my other detinations.
What options do you have considering the flights? That is, which airlines?
You can try to fit in some places in the middle east, like Dubai/Qatar/Bahrain/Oman.
Or maybe do the Transsib Railway to Beijing and take a flight onwards to Vietnam. Or a train for that matter.
I'm still in the planning process so have no flight options in mind.
I have been looking at Everest Base camp trek in Nepal but I see that September is a little too early with the trekking season starting in October.
The Tranbs Siberian railway sounds like a good idea. I'll look into that. I can then head down to Hanoi and start Vietnam from there.
I'm doin UK to SE Asia via Transsib startin end of October myself. I've contacted a few people on here who seem to be interested in doin it around the same time. Let me know if your up for it, would be good to get a few people together.
