My Best Friend and I went to Europe for 2 months last summer and caught the travel bug. We managed to find 8 days to get away from work this year and decided to go over seas the first week in July. We are more the adventurous type and are looking forward to rafting, hiking, biking, rafting. Unfortunately due to our short time frame there we are looking for advice from anyone on how to spend our time there. We are 24 and live in North Carolina. Any help would be much appreciated! thanks in advance for all help. Our First trip took us through: Spain, Italy, Progue, Netherlands, France and Switzerland.
How about New Zealand, it's well known as one of the outdoor/adventure capitals of the world.
I'd save New Zealand for some other time when you could take off for at least two weeks. You'd spend about two days just traveling there and back, not to mention the time your body would take to adjust to the time difference.
With only eight days to use I'd stay a bit closer to home. How about taking a biking tour of England, Scotland or Ireland? You'll be oveseas, you'll get exercise and see some beautiful places.
Good question....8 days.....
I reckon you should maybe try somewhere in the US, some great place you've always wanted to try. Or maybe Central America, which looks pretty wild and won't take you too long to get to. Probably cheaper, wilder, perfect for an adventure junkie!
How about Iceland? If you like adventure, it's got mountains to hike, rivers suitable to raft down, and amazing scenery. But it's small enough that a week would be just about right. It costs about the same to fly there as it does to fly to Europe.
8days ?? Its not alot of time!

Jen85 - Sadly, here in the States we're often thankful to get that much holiday at one time.
Do some trekking in South America, have a taste of a different continent.
