what does the ac prong look like in china? i need to buy a current converter! also, my zyxel skype cell phone lookalike thing keeps on telling me that it's "not registered" and i can't figure out how to register this thing. any help at all will be much appreciated. thanks.
I think you mean AC plug. Check this out:
Wikipedia:Domestic AC Power Plugs and Sockets
Check your power adapter. Nowadays, most power adapters are designed to accept multi-voltage input, whether it's 110-120VAC or 220-240VAC, with 50 or 60Hz. If that's the case, a socket/plug converter is all you need.

As for your ZyXELphone, I think it probably means you're not registered to a wi-fi network. This site might be able to help you figure out how to register the phone to a wi-fi network. http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/voip/article.php/3554056
What model is that anyway? Perhaps you could check out ZyXEL's website for user guide or technical support.
you're the man! i'm leaving in a few hours. i really appreciate your help on this matter. by the way, it was nice chatting with you the other day. take care.
