Need a bit of advice ppl...im heading off in june, 6 weeks in asia and 6 weeks in oz, i have my oz visa and will be gettin a 60 day one for thailand as im there longer than 30 days...i know you can get a vietnamese one in thailand but ive heard a few horror stories of passports going missing etc. I can get one thru a visa office in dublin for 120 - 150 euro which takes between 2 - 4 weeks, is this a safer bet or should i take my chances on getting it in thailand??? Also, is it true a visa for cambodia is issued at the airport on arrival? Happy travelling

120-150 euros????? Wow that seems really expensive. I was in VN in Oct and got my visa in OZ before I left for $72AUD. This time around though, I am planning on getting it from Bangkok. If you are worried about your passport going missing in Asia perhaps you could organise your visa when you get to OZ. I think it only took about 7-10 days to get back.

Sorry, just realised that it appears that you are going to Asia before OZ. Apologies.....

you will not need to worry about thailand, there's no visa needed, it's just a stamp that will allow you to be in thailand for 30 days. cambodia...i got it at the border coming from vietnam, i think it was 28 bucks. vietnam...you can get in the airport but they'll hassel you a bit. 120-150euros...what are they smoking, i want some. haha. hope this helps. by the way, this is all from personal experience.
