okay so this was the old itinerary which we were like its good but seems kinda rushed and i think this itin is probably better anyways...
(the #'s after city are ngihts in each place)
(the * after each place means flying to)
berlin 3 *
geneva 2 *
paris 4 *
but i had a light turn on and was thinking (since we will by flying a lot we could do this below...)
berlin 4 *
barcelona 4 *
paris 4 *
and we have another day and are not sure where to put it
whatdo you guys think of the change? would u change it more and if so what?
i was also thinking of changing it so i could goto budapest then barcelona for 3 days and then munich for 2-3 days and remove 1 day from berlin.. is this good? is t worth it to goto munich?
i forgot to mention that i would be flying from brussels to berlin, budapest to barcelona, barcelona to munich, and munich to paris, if that is the route chosen
I suppose u have thought about it already, but in case u have not.
U could take overnight trains, instead of flying. I have bought some very good train special offers. Last night, I bought an overnight train ticket, to Berlin, for 29 Euros. Same price, to return.
These special offers usually have to be bought, a few months in advance, but probably not always.
And traveling at night, by train does not really take more time. U have to sleep someplace. And one spends so much time at airports, with all those security checks, etc. And the train stations, are in the centres of the cities, so u can enjoy hanging out, in the city, until your train is ready to leave.
I live in Munich.
I think it is worth a visit.
The centre of the city has been restored, to exactly how it was, before world war 2. So, it is worth hanging out, in the centre. Take the underground to Merion platz. If u are comming from the airport, just stay on the S bahn, until it gets to Merion platz stop. If u are here, on a Saturday, hang out, at the Viktualian Markt, for the afternoon. It is also at Merion Platz underground stop.
Berlin U need atleast a week I think. 5 days would be best. Its a great city. yeah and trains are a better option (ecologically as well) You can meet people and enjoy the scenery.
Your going from Central to West Euro - why not just spend more time enjoying the local small towns in Austria and Slovakia or Hungary and do Paris and Barcelona (for example) some other time?
You could probably drop a day from Berlin. Sure it's a huge city but there isn't anything there worth seeing. Alright so maybe you're the party type then it might be for you. It's a very modern city so don't expect a lot of history. I'm not sure if it's necessary to spend 3 days in Budapest or not. But besides that everything else looks ok (to me at least
Oh and go to Munich!
4 nights in Barcelona sounds fine, but you could probably make it with 3 or even 2, unless you're interested in seeing museums etc...
