well by air it will cost you Rs 2500 (approximately 40$) for a round trip......and the journey will be for 1hr 10 min.........

by bus it will take u 10 hrs and it would cost u Rs 1800 (approximately 30$)

By train the journey ride would be for the same 10 hrs n the cost of the train would be almost the same as for da bus.....

So i suggest train is the best option....try to book as early asap to avail of the best fairs (two month prior to the trip would be perfect).

Dear fruity,

Train is the best option for travelling to Goa..it will take u around 11hrs in an overnight train... There are no differential fares if u book early in case of trains but if u wanna get confirmed reservation try to book well in advance.. the booking opens 90 days in advance and u can go for online booking of e-tickets at irctc.co.in

Warm regards
Arif

Wow e tickets.
That is convenient.
I will remember it, for when I finally make it, to India, again.
Thanks Arif.

train train train! i did the trip by bus and it was an abolute nightmare. I got about 1 hours sleep, constantly being flung out of your seat screeching round endless corners, never mind the actual conditions of the roads. I think the train should be much nicer.

then why you took the bus....I know what u mean....sleeping in a bus is impossible....unless you have valium....otherwise its exhausting...
