Hello!
I will be in Bolivia next July-August and I also would like to visit some friends living in Santiago de Chile. Do you know a cheap company to fly between these countries!
Thanks!

Depending on how long you want to go to Chile, why not visit some northern parts of Chile as well? Bus connections are good, you might even want to go on a tour from Uyuni to San Pedro de Atacama first, take a bus there. Buses are very good and cheaper than flying for sure. Ok, it takes a little longer, but think about environmental things as well, it's a very short flight.

I'm with Michael; there's no need at all to take a plane on that route.

I also agree with you guys, but the thing is that I have only one weekend to go to Chile...the main purpose is to visit my friend, this is why I wanted a fast connection flight.
Thanks!

If you have only one weekend, I personally find it ridiculous that you decide to travel that far. Think of the burden on the environment; Why not have your holidays in Chile instead of Bolivia if you're so keen at meeting with them, or visiting them some other time?

If your time is short you do not want to take the bus.
Unfortunately there are no "cheap" flights.
Check out LAN Chile airline.
Lloyd (Bolivian airline) is not reliable at the moment.
Presumably you flew to Bolivia on a long distance flight - so I wouldn't worry to much about your carbon footprint on one more short flight.

It is exactly descent and take-off that are responsible for the size of one's footprint; in that respect, short-distance flights are actually worse than long-haul.

thanks people! I will think about, it is not so easy to decide, you guys made me think to stay longer ;)...it was very helpful to remind me the environmental topic!

Glad to make you aware of it. Please, help spread the word; a major attitude change has to start somewhere, and like-minded travellers are as good a target as any :)

Enjoy your holidays,
